Homer Bailey Pitches Well In Return From DL
6 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Homer Bailey looked sharp in Tuesday's 4-2 loss against the Cardinals. This was Bailey's first appearance since May due to knee inflammation but there didn't look to be any rust, as he tossed 6 2/3 innings of two-run ball on five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts. He now has a 6.29 ERA and 1.63 WHIP through 68 2/3 IP this season. He will face a favorable Tigers matchup in his next start Tuesday but Bailey should not be trusted until he can show consistent production.
