Holton Ahlers Throws For 61 Yards, Rushes For 42 More
1 year agoUndrafted rookie quarterback Holton Ahlers combined for 103 yards in the Seattle Seahawks' preseason victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night. Ahlers was 7-for-13 on pass attempts for 61 yards, frequently throwing on the move, and also rushed seven times, adding 42 yards on the ground. The East Carolina product has been interesting to watch in Seattle's preseason games. At times, he fits the mold of a mobile quarterback with the vision and ability to make plays happen as they unfold. Oftentimes he looks more like a harried scrambler, taking the snap, escaping the tackle box, and hoping someone is open. As the third quarterback behind Geno Smith and Drew Lock, Ahlers holds no fantasy value.
