Hideki Matsuyama Worth Some Exposure At Waialae
11 months agoHideki Matsuyma is a historically inconsistent putter and is typically not a popular choice for fantasy managers in birdie-fests. That appears to be the case this week with the Japanese star, clearly among the class of the field, currently sitting as only one of two players above the $9,000 range on DraftKings projected to carry single-digit ownership. But Waialae has the second most predictive course history on the PGA Tour, and something about this course clearly suits his eye. He's posted three top-20 results here in his past four years, including his eighth PGA Tour victory back in 2022. He's one of the best approach players on tour and has gained at least two strokes in that category in his last five starts here. With a positive week on these Bermuda greens, Matsuyama could very well pick up another win in Honolulu.
