1 year agoHideki Matsuyama will be a popular option for fantasy managers this week, and rightfully so. Over the last 36 rounds, the Japanese star ranks third in strokes gained on approach, first from tee-to-green, fourth in greens-in-regulation, and third in strokes-gained total. Matsuyama has made the cut in 13 of 16 events so far in 2023, including eight top-25 finishes and a T13 finish at last week's Open Championship. He did withdraw after several water balls at last year's 3M Open, but he also posted a T7 finish in his only other start here back in 2019. Matsuyama is among the class of the field this week, and there's good reason to believe he could be in line to claim his ninth PGA Tour victory in Blaine.--Ryan Hickey
