Heliot Ramos Suffers Oblique Strain
1 month agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos (oblique) suffered an oblique strain and is expected to be kept out of the lineup for at least a few days. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, as a setback could put his availability for Opening Day in danger. After only appearing in 34 MLB games during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Ramos logged a career-high 121 contests during the 2024 season. Across this stint, Ramos held a .269/.322/.469 slash line. Ramos launched 22 home runs and added 22 doubles. He generated an elite .481 xSLG and a 47.5 percent hard-hit rate. However, he struck out at a high 26.1 percent rate and drew walks at a low 7.1 percent rate. When healthy, Ramos should have an everyday role in left field. UPDATE: Ramos will throw on Monday and will likely hit on Thursday. He said he expects to play in a spring game by next Tuesday.
