Hector Rodriguez Looks To Rebound in August
1 year agoCincinnati Reds' outfield prospect Hector Rodriguez is looking to bounce back from a rough July with the Single-A Daytona Tortugas. The outfielder saw his slash line for the month dip to .184/.237/.322 with just two home runs and one stolen base. The 19-year-old also struck out 24 times while taking just six walks. The slump comes after a strong start to the season that saw Rodriguez earn May's Florida State League Player of the Month honors. The overall numbers for the season remain solid as Rodriguez flashes a .842 OPS with 15 homers and 11 steals. An inconsistent month for a teenager in full-season ball is not unusual, and Rodriguez remains an intriguing prospect in a loaded Cincinnati organization. It's a good time for fantasy managers to buy low on a player that still appears to have a bright future in dynasty leagues.
