Hector Neris Notches First Save Saturday
2 years agoHouston Astros right-hander Hector Neris allowed one run on two hits and a walk while striking out two across 1 1/3 innings to pick up the save in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Chicago White Sox. Astros closer Ryan Pressly (illness) was under the weather and unavailable for Saturday's game. Chicago scored a run off Neris through an RBI single by Eloy Jimenez. The 33-year-old shook it off and struck out Yoan Moncada in the ninth frame to seal the win. Pressly is expected to return to the mound soon, while Neris will return to his usual setup role. Neris is mainly worth rostering in leagues that account for the category saves and holds.
