Hayden Hurst Finishes Second On Team In Targets
4 years agoAtlanta Falcons tight end Hayden Hurst caught two of six targets for eight receiving yards in a 23-16 loss to the Panthers. Hurst was disappointing, as he failed to make any real impact in this game, despite the opportunities given to him. The 27-year-old hasn't been the every-week starting option he was hoped to be, though it's still worth pointing out that he's seen at least five targets in four of five contests. In this wacky season filled with COVID cancellations and injuries, that certainly counts for something. Hurst can't be relied upon for consistent TE1 numbers, but he should have that upside for certain weeks considering the pass-heavy nature of the team he plays on. Hurst will look to rebound in Week 6 against the Vikings.
