Hassan Whiteside Pulls Down 17 Boards Against Houston
6 years agoMiami Heat center Hassan Whiteside dominated the glass in Thursday's win over Houston, finishing with a game-high 17 rebounds. Sadly he couldn't pull out a double-double, ending up with nine points on 4-for-8 shooting. Whiteside also saw his 26-game streak with at least one block end, but he was still productive defensively by getting two steals. Head coach Eric Spoelstra trusted him for 24 minutes this time. Over the last 30 days, Whiteside has managed to reach the 30-minute mark just twice, which is a huge worry, but as he proved against Houston, he can still remain effective in limited playing time. With that said, it's not going to happen every night, so using Whiteside in DFS formats is like playing the lottery.
