HaoTong Li Implodes During The Players Championship
7 years agoHaoTong Li finished at 12-over par Thursday and Friday, missing the cut by an astonishing 13 strokes. Li's performance was so brutal that he failed to beat any golfer who managed to complete two rounds of golf. Li lost negative -5.428 strokes on his approach shots and negative -4.958 putting. In total, Li lost 12.713 strokes to the field. The 22-year-old out of China will have better days, but this performance will be one he will certainly want to forget. Since Li's win at the Dubai Desert Classic in late January, he has made six of eight cuts worldwide but doesn't have a result better than a T32 to show for it. The next time we see Li tee it up on American soil, it should be at the U.S. Open in June.
