Hansel Robles Picks Up Fifth Save
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Hansel Robles notched his fifth save of the season in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Kansas City Royals. Robles allowed a leadoff double and was hurt by a throwing error, though he worked out of trouble with a double play, which ended the game. The 30-year-old kept the scoreboard clean for the first time in four outings, lowering his season ERA to 3.16. Robles walks a fair amount of batters and allows hard contact, though he could be the type of reliever who can work around those limitations and deliver strong results. Manager Rocco Baldelli will continue to trust him with a late-inning role as long as he continues to pitch well.
