Hansel Robles Picks Up Eighth Save
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Hansel Robles got back in the save column in Monday's 8-5 win over the Chicago White Sox. Robles was far from perfect, allowing runners to reach first and second on a walk and single, though a timely double play helped him out of the jam. It was a step in the right direction after he had allowed eight earned runs on eight hits over his last four appearances. Robles allows a lot of hard contact- and it's starting to catch up to him as his season ERA has ballooned from a low 2.83 to 4.38. He is approaching drop territory as an underperforming member of a closer committee on a 35-win team.
