Philipp Grubauer Wins Third Straight As Caps Down Rangers
7 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Philipp Grubauer stopped 28 of 30 shots en route to a 4-2 win over the New York Rangers on Monday night. The win made it three in a row for Grubauer, as he's allowed six goals on 90 shots for a .933 save percentage in that span. It's looking more and more like the Capitals have chosen their goaltender for the playoffs, as a healthy Braden Holtby continues to serve as Grubauer's backup. Their next game comes Wednesday night against none other than the New York Rangers. It would be surprising if the German netminder didn't go for his fourth straight win.
