Griffin Conine Placed On 60-Day Injured List
27 seconds agoThe Miami Marlins have placed outfielder Griffin Conine (shoulder) on the 60-day injured list due to a dislocated left shoulder. Conine suffered this injury when sliding into second base during Saturday's contest. The 27-year-old was swinging a hot bat during the early part of the campaign as he held an impressive .281/.352/.438 slash line. He went deep once and added seven doubles, which are the seventh most in the National League. Under the hood, the Duke product generated a strong 15.6 percent barrel rate and a 51.1 percent hard-hit rate, which placed him in the 83rd and 81st percentiles, respectively. Fantasy managers in deeper NL-only formats should consider stashing Conine on their IR if they have room, as he will continue to have an everyday role in the Miami lineup when he returns to action. With Conine sidelined, Jesus Sanchez should see time in left field, which will open up the DH spot for Eric Wagman or Graham Pauley.
