4 months agoFreedom High School (Va.) outfielder Griffin Burkholder has come to terms on a deal with the Philadelphia Phillies. The second-round pick (No. 63 overall) reportedly signed for $2.5 million, which is well above slot value ($1,352,000). Known for his elite speed, Burkholder was a West Virginia commit, so the Phillies did well to lure him away from his commitment.
