Gregory Soto Strikes Out The Side To Earn His Ninth Save
3 years agoDetroit Tigers relief pitcher Gregory Soto tossed a dominant ninth inning against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday to earn his ninth save of the year. Soto struck out each of the three batters he faced in the inning, securing a 4-1 victory for the Tigers. Soto has made 40 appearances in relief this year. He has a 2.84 ERA and 1.32 WHIP to go along with a 28.4% strikeout rate. He's blown just one save so far. He's the team's clear closer right now and is worth a roster spot in just about all fantasy leagues. Jose Cisnero should be considered next in line for saves is Soto falters or gets hurt.
