Gregory Soto Records His Sixth Save On Tuesday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers relief pitcher Gregory Soto closed out Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Kansas City Royals to earn his sixth save of the year. Soto pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing no hits or walks while striking out one. This was Soto's first save since May 26. Prior to Tuesday's game, the team had only recorded two saves this month, both of which had gone to Jose Cisnero. Soto, Cisnero and Michael Fulmer, who was recently activated from the injured list, all stand a chance to see save opportunities going forward. Cisnero seems to be the top candidate for now, but that could change on a dime.
