Gregory Soto Gets Hammered By Angels On Tuesday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers closer Gregory Soto had his worst outing of the year in Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. Soto entered in the ninth inning of a 2-2 game and went on to allow four hits, two walks and six runs (five earned). He only managed to record two outs before he was pulled. Soto surrendered two home runs in the inning, including a grand slam to Jo Adell. Over 51 games and 49 innings on the year, Soto has a 3.67 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP. He's converted 15 of his 16 save opportunities and is the Tigers' clear closer at this point, making him worth rostering in just about all leagues. Look for him to shake this one off and get back on track in his next outing.
