Gregory Soto Fails To Close Out Thursday's Game
4 years agoDetroit Tigers closer Gregory Soto was called upon to record the save in Thursday's series finale against the Kansas City Royals. However, he was unable to get the job done, allowing two hits, a walk and two earned runs while recording just one out. He was pulled from the game and Michael Fulmer took over to finish the game and earn the save. Soto wound up with a hold. This was Soto's worst outing of the year so far. He leads the Tigers with four saves and should still be considered the frontrunner to earn saves going forward. Another rough outing like this could certainly change things though.
