Greg Zuerlein Expected To Return In Week 11
3 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys expect kicker Greg Zuerlein to return from the Reserve/COVID-19 list and play in Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, they will keep Lirim Hajrullahu around after he made all five of his extra points in the Week 10 win over the Atlanta Falcons while filling in for Zuerlein last Sunday. Zuerlein has yet to be activated from the COVID-19 list, but once he is, he should be back on the starting map in fantasy in a game against the Chiefs that could feature a lot of points. The 33-year-old has been a solid kicker for fantasy managers, other than the Week 9 game when the Cowboys were blown out by the Denver Broncos and didn't give Zuerlein a single kicking chance. He's 14-for-18 on field goals and has missed two of his 23 extra-point tries in eight games this season.

Greg Zuerlein Does Not Attempt Any FGs In Week 17
4 months agoNew York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein did not attempt any field goals or extra points in a 40-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 17. Zuerlein, who was activated from injured reserve earlier in the week after missing some time with a knee injury, stood by as the Jets attempted two-point conversions following their two touchdowns in the blowout loss. He will look for more work in the regular-season finale against the Miami Dolphins in Week 18.

Greg Zuerlein Returning For Week 17
4 months agoNew York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein (knee) will be back in action for the Week 17 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Zuerlein hasn't played since being placed on the injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in Week 8. Before that, Zuerlein was struggling as he has only converted 9-of-15 field goal attempts while making all but one extra point attempt. The 37-year-old hopes to get back on track over the final two games of the regular season. Given his struggles this season, fantasy managers should probably look elsewhere for a streaming option in Week 17.

Greg Zuerlein Heading To IR
6 months agoPer Adam Schefter, the New York Jets have placed kicker Greg Zuerlein (knee) on injured reserve. In response, they've signed kickers Spencer Shrader and Riley Patterson to their practice squad. Zuerlein popped up on the team's report Monday with a knee issue after another poor showing in Sunday's 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots. The 36-year-old missed another two kicks in Week 8 (one field goal, one extra point), and he'll now miss at least the team's next four outings. The long-time LA Ram has failed to connect on six field goal tries this season (9-of-15) and has mainly been unreliable for a reeling Jets squad. With New York set to host the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football, expect a decision to be made between Shrader and Patterson in short order.

Greg Zuerlein Limited During Tuesday's Practice
6 months agoNew York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein (knee) was limited during Tuesday's practice session. The veteran kicker has been added to the injury report with a left knee issue ahead of Thursday's game against the Houston Texans. It's worth noting that the Jets brought in kickers for a tryout on Tuesday. Zuerlein has struggled this season as he has made only 9-of-15 field goal attempts. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for help as Zuerlein might not even be able to play this week.
