6 years agoThe Carolina Panthers are expected to place tight end Greg Olsen (foot) on Injured Reserve this week, according to a league source. Olsen ruptured his plantar fascia in Week 13 and is likely to miss the rest of the season. The 33-year-old tight end has battled foot issues the last two years and has played in just 16 games as a result. It's fair to wonder if Olsen will return in 2019 for another season. For the rest of the season, rookie Ian Thomas should serve as the team's pass-catching tight end, although he'll be a low-end TE2.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
