Greg Bird Will Undergo Further Exams
7 years agoAfter a sore foot injury sidelined him from today’s Spring Training action, New York Yankees first baseman Greg Bird was examined, but further tests will be done. The 25-year-old is scheduled to undergo an MRI and CT scan, raising worries that he may not be ready for the beginning of the season. Bird missed most of last season with an ankle injury on his right foot, the same foot that is now sore. The first baseman has a history of injury troubles, having missed the entire 2016 season with a right labrum injury as well. Neil Walker appears to be the next man in line should Bird have to miss time.
