Greg Bird Continues To Pile On The RBI On Thursday
6 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Greg Bird has been a run-producing machine as of late, and his streak continued on Thursday against the Cleveland Indians. Squaring up against Indians ace Corey Kluber — who wasn't at his best on Thursday — Bird launched a huge double in his second at-bat that scored Giancarlo Stanton and gave the Yanks the lead in the fourth inning. Bird then came back in the eighth inning and hit a sacrifice fly to bring Aaron Hicks home. The first baseman now has 12 RBIs in July. He has been showing signs of finding his swing the last few games, putting him firmly on the daily fantasy radar. That said, there will be strikeouts and there will be hard hit balls with no results, so tread cautiously with Bird going forward as he continues to find his hitting stroke.
