Greg Allen Suffers Hamstring Injury
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Greg Allen (hamstring) was removed early from Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Tampa Bay Rays. He was experiencing left hamstring discomfort. The injury occurred after he scored on a sacrifice fly in the second inning of the game. According to Pirates beat writer Jason Mackey, Allen is being examined by the team and he is being considered day-to-day. The 29-year-old is likely to be a reserve outfielder with the Pirates this year. Known for his speed, he's compiled 37 stolen bases over 236 games in the majors.
