Gordon Hayward Sustains Fractured Hand On Saturday
Gordon Hayward departed Saturday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs early due to a fractured left hand. Hayward, who had been playing excellent as of late, scored nine points across 15 minutes in the first half and is now facing an extended absence on the sidelines. Entering Saturday, Hayward was averaging 20.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest, returning to the All-Star level that he had reached in 2016-17 with Utah. Marcus Smart started the second half in his place and figures to see an increased role while Hayward remains out.
