Golden Tate's Suspension Upheld
5 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate has been the subject of much conversation after being handed down a four-game suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy. After weeks of anticipation, the NFL announced Tuesday that the four-game suspension will be upheld, beginning Week 1 of the regular season. With injuries piling up for Giants receivers Sterling Shepard (thumb) and Amba Etta-Tawo (Achilles), the Giants will have to look to receivers Bennie Fowler and Cody Latimer to pick up the slack early on. The Giants are hopeful that Shepard will be ready for their Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, but as for Tate, he will not be eligible until Week 5 against the New York Giants.
