Golden Tate's Season Could Be Over
4 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate (calf) missed practice on Wednesday, and his season could be over after being inactive in the Week 16 loss to the Ravens. Tate did limited stationary bike work with trainers on the side on Wednesday. The 32-year-old veteran has been a fantasy afterthought this year with just 35 catches on 52 targets for 388 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. Even if Tate is active for the Week 17 must-win game against the division-rival Cowboys, he shouldn't be in any fantasy lineups. With Tate inactive last week, Sterling Shepard had a season-high 77 receiving yards and a touchdown out of the slot. Shepard will have some nice WR3/flex upside again this week against a bad Cowboys secondary.
