Golden Tate Looking Forward To Third Preseason Game
6 years agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate knows the third preseason game is a big step towards being prepared for the regular season. The Lions have dropped their first two preseason matchups against the Oakland Raiders and New York Giants. In both of those games, the offense has struggled to put points on the board until late in the fourth quarter, when the backups for both teams were in. Tate will look to get more work in as well, as he has only seen two targets, and caught one pass for 11 yards this preseason. The first-string offense ran eight two-receiver sets against the Giants, and Tate was not involved in any of them. However, head coach Matt Patricia claimed that was because of the receivers being under snap counts. Tate has one of the safest floors in fantasy football, posting at least 90 receptions in each of the last four seasons. It is safe to assume that will continue in 2018. He is currently going as the #22 WR in PPR formats.
