Gleyber Torres Walks It Off Once More
7 years agoThe rookie phenom of the New York Yankees, second baseman Gleyber Torres, recorded his second walk-off hit this season as the club secured yet another comeback victory against the Houston Astros. Once again batting ninth, he recorded two hits in four plate appearances, but his biggest hit came in extra innings. After outfielder Brett Gardner tied up the score in the ninth, the 21-year-old stepped up with one man on. He delivered a single to right, scoring Miguel Andujar to cap another comeback. Torres’ season has been magical. He’s definitely shown some weaknesses, but he has been as clutch as anyone on the team.
