Gleyber Torres To Have MRI On Thumb
3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres (thumb) will have an MRI on his thumb after exiting the game in the ninth inning, according to Lindsey Adler of The Athletic. Adler reports that he appeared to have jammed his hand on a stolen base attempt earlier in the game, and manager Aaron Boone said that there is some concern over this injury. He's had a down year in 2021, slashing .248/.324/.344 with six homers, 11 steals, 42 RBI and 35 runs scored over 98 games. Managers should consider him day-to-day for now and check for further updates on his condition on Monday.
