Gleyber Torres To Get MRI On Thumb
3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres (thumb) enjoyed a strong day at the plate in Sunday's loss but appeared to injure his thumb. Torres swiped his 12th base of the season but jammed his thumb while sliding into the bag. He stayed in the game until the ninth inning, ultimately being replaced by Tyler Wade. Manager Aaron Boone said that Torres will get an MRI on his thumb- and that "there is some concern there." He hasn't exactly wowed fantasy managers with a .253/.328/.351 slash line, but he seemed to be picking things up in August, making this some tough news. Stay tuned for updates on Torres.
