2 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres is getting the day off on Saturday as the team takes on right-hander Nick Pivetta and the Boston Red Sox. DJ LeMahieu is shifting over to cover second base for the game. Torres has been swinging a hot bat so far in July. He's recorded at least one hit in 10 of his 11 games this month while compiling a .396/.463/.563 slash line. The 25-year-old owns a .273/.330/.493 slash line on the year to go along with 14 home runs, 40 RBI and 43 runs.
