Gleyber Torres Smacks 20th Home Run In Loss
6 years agoNew York Yankees rookie infielder Gleyber Torres is finally escaping the depths of the terrible slump that struck him when he returned from the disabled list a month ago. After drilling his 20th home run of the season in Monday night's defeat to the Chicago White Sox, the 21-year-old is hitting .320 across his last seven games, regaining the form that made him the early favorite to win AL Rookie of the Year. Of course, now it appears his teammate Miguel Andujar has emerged as the favorite. Regardless, Torres becomes the latest Yankee to record 20 home runs.
