Gleyber Torres Plates Two Runs, Steals Base Thursday
3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres collected a pair of RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's loss to the Red Sox. Torres was a part of a small-ball approach, driving in one run on a groundout and another on a sacrifice fly. The 24-year-old also extended his hitting streak to five games, reaching on an infield single and getting an excellent jump on a steal attempt, swiping second base standing up. Torres has produced three homers, seven RBI, four runs scored, and two stolen bases over his last seven contests. He makes for a strong DFS play on Friday against Red Sox lefty Eduardo Rodriguez. Torres has a .261 batting average and .723 OPS against southpaws this season.
