3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop/second baseman Gleyber Torres is not in the team's lineup for Opening Day against the Boston Red Sox. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is starting at shortstop with DJ LeMahieu at second base and hitting fifth against Red Sox right-hander Nathan Eovaldi. Torres had a solid spring, hitting three home runs while posting a .910 OPS, but he'll need to improve on his .697 OPS from 2021 in order to earn consistent playing time this season. We'll see if the 25-year-old can crack the lineup for Game 2 on Saturday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
