Gleyber Torres Homers, Delivers Game-Winning Hit
4 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 2-1 win over the Chicago White Sox. Torres broke a 0-0 game in the seventh inning with an opposite-field home run off of White Sox reliever Michael Kopech, then delivered the game-winning RBI single in the ninth. The 24-year-old hit both balls at exit velocities of 95 MPH or greater. He's definitely heating up at the plate, as he is 5-for-10 with a home run and two RBI since returning from the COVID-19 injured list. Any buy-low opportunity there might have been for fantasy managers appears to be closing quickly.
