Gleyber Torres Goes Hitless In Return
6 years agoAt long last, New York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres made his return on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. The All-Star rookie spent exactly three weeks on the disabled list with a right hip strain. In his return, however, he went hitless, striking out twice, walking once and scoring a run. Regardless, Torres should once again become a regular fantasy starter, as he gets back into game shape in the coming days. After all, the 21-year-old was hitting a solid .294 with 15 home runs and 42 RBI at the time of his injury. His return will bring more stability to the Yankees infield, as his partnership with shortstop Didi Gregorius has already become a strong one.
