Gleyber Torres Continues May Tear
6 years agoNew York Yankees infielder Gleyber Torres continued his red-hot form as May concludes. As the club wrapped up their series victory against the San Diego Padres, the 22-year-old drilled a two-run home run in the seventh, extending his club's lead to 7-0. It was Torres' 14th home run of the season, but his recent stretch is the most impressive aspect. Across his last 15 games, he's batting .293 with nine home runs and 14 RBI. His playing time doesn't figure to take a hit with the looming Didi Gregorius set to return soon. Torres should simply be moving back to second base, where he usually plays.
