New York Yankees rookie Gleyber Torres might have earned his stripes on Thursday afternoon in Houston against the Astros. The 21-year-old came up huge late as his club was staring down a heartbreaking defeat. His first major action came in the second inning, as he hit a sacrifice fly that increased the Yankees lead to 2-0. In the ninth, however, his club was trailing 5-3 after a collapse in the late innings. With the bases loaded, Torres delivered a clutch single that drove in two runs to tie the game. New York would take the lead and eventually win the game 6-5 to take three of four against the defending champions.--RDelgado
