Glenn Otto Scratched On Saturday
2 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Glenn Otto (lat) was scratched ahead of Saturday's Cactus League matchup versus the Los Angeles Angels. The right-hander was pulled ahead of his scheduled start due to right lat tightness. Instead, Chase Lee was asked to make an emergency start versus the Angels on Saturday. This is not good news for Otto's chances of making the Opening Day roster. He already seemed like a long shot, but this injury certainly isn't going to help his case. Otto will likely head to Triple-A to begin the season, but should return to the Rangers roster at some point in 2023.
