1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-handed pitcher Giovanny Gallegos picked up his 10th save of the season on Sunday, holding down a 6-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Gallegos didn't allow a baserunner and struck out one in his inning of work. The Cardinals seem to be using a closer-by-committee approach right now, with JoJo Romero getting his fair share of chances along with Gallegos. That being said, Ryan Helsley was just activated from the IL on Friday and if he pitches well he could jump back into the closer role that he held to start the season. Gallegos is best left to deeper categories leagues for those desperate for saves.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
