3 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela (hamstring) is expected to be activated off the injured list on Thursday. The 29-year-old has been on the shelf since August 1 with a hamstring strain, including a setback during his initial rehab stint. Urshela will reclaim his spot at third base, and join the Yankees in Oakland as they take on the A's. In 310 at-bats, Urshela has 11 homers, 41 RBI, 32 runs, and one stolen base while slashing .274/.315/.439. Expect infielder Rougned Odor to assume a utility role following Urshela's return.--Patrick Doris
