Gio Urshela Belts Two-Run Homer
4 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and three strikeouts in Sunday's loss to the Indians. Urshela got the scoring started for the Yankees in the top half of the fourth inning, driving an 0-1 fastball into the right-center seats. He did strike out three times, which especially hurts in a points league, though the Yankee third baseman now has three long balls on the season and currently sports the highest average exit velocity and hard-hit rates of his career through 20 games. He'll get an upcoming four-game series against an Oriole pitching staff that has served up the ninth-most homers this season so far.
