Gio Gonzalez Tosses Quality Start on Wednesday
6 years agoWashington Nationals left-hander Gio Gonzalez threw six innings of two-run ball on Wednesday in a 2-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Gonzalez allowed six hits, walked one and struck out six. The lefty has been solid in the month of July, although he has yet to pick up a win. In his last three starts, Gonzalez has posted a 3.94 ERA in 16 innings pitched. At this point, he remains worthy of a roster spot and should produce quality starts in favorable matchups.
