Giants To Make A Push To Trade For Matthew Stafford?
1 min agoAlthough New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen didn't touch on any of the rumors surrounding Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, The Athletic's Dan Duggan is convinced that the veteran signal-caller is firmly on the table for the Giants this offseason as they look to upgrade at the position. Schoen did say "we're going to look for the best player available that can help us win games in 2025." The Rams are playing hardball with Stafford and don't want to pay him over $50 million a year on a possible two-year deal, so if another team like the Giants is willing to pay him more and surrender some draft picks to acquire him in a trade, the 37-year-old could be shipped out of L.A. to play out the last couple years of his career. Despite his advanced age, Stafford proved last year he's still a top-12 QB in the league, although for fantasy purposes he's in the QB2 range.
