3 years agoThe New York Giants cut running back Devontae Booker on Wednesday, according to a source. The move creates $2.1 million in salary cap savings while leaving just $1 million in dead money for 2022. Booker rushed for 593 yards and two touchdowns on 145 carries last year, which tied Saquon Barkley for the team lead with Barkley nursing injuries yet again. Booker also added 40 catches for 268 yards and one touchdown on 45 targets in the passing game and was a bright spot when given opportunities in an otherwise pretty pathetic Giants offense. The 29-year-old will be hoping to latch on with another organization in free agency as a backup.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
