1 year agoSan Francisco Giants outfield prospect Luis Matos has officially been promoted from Triple-A Sacramento and will bat second versus Jordan Montgomery. Speculation of this move trickled through the news wire when he was removed in the third inning of Tuesday's game. More fuel was added to the fire when it was announced that outfielder Mitch Haniger (forearm) was diagnosed with a fractured forearm and corner infielder J.D. Davis (ankle) with an ankle sprain. Matos, 21, has been on an insane tear of late with six homers over his last seven games and is an extra-base machine that also offers value on the basepaths. Between Double-A and Triple-A this year, Matos has hit .350 with 13 doubles, 10 homers, 36 RBI and 15 stolen bases. He is worth an add in all formats.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
