5 years agoThe New York Giants are making a strong push to sign Green Bay Packers impending free-agent linebacker Blake Martinez, according to sources. Martinez, 26, led all linebackers in the NFL last year with 114 solo tackles. He has 140-plus combined tackles in each of the last three seasons, including a career-high 155 in 2019. Martinez has combined for just 10 sacks in four seasons in the league, but he's a tackling machine in the middle of the field and has been a top-five IDP linebacker on a weekly basis the last couple of seasons. The Giants have a need in both rushing the passer and limiting the run, and Martinez would definitely be a huge upgrade.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
