2 years agoSan Francisco Chronicles' Susan Slusser reported Tuesday that the San Francisco Giants have checked in on free-agent outfielders Brandon Nimmo and Cody Bellinger. The Giants agreed to a one-year deal with Mike Yastrzemski earlier in the off-season, but they could still use a good deal of help at the position. Nimmo would provide a reliable source of offensive production and solid defense. He had a successful 2022 season with the Mets, slashing .274/.367/.433 with 16 home runs, 64 RBI, and three stolen bases. Bellinger would provide defense and speed but would be a much bigger unknown offensively, as he struggled with the Dodgers during the 2021-22 seasons but showed strong skills earlier in his career.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
