The offensive hero on the day was Giancarlo Stanton, who batted cleanup and served as DH. Stanton picked up four hits, including a solo home run in the fifth, his 10th of the season, Before that, he drove in the first runs of the game in the first with a two-RBI single. Despite his early struggles in his first season with the New York club, he’s currently tied for second on the team in home runs, while ranking fourth in RBI.
